Cyprus Wine will be staged in Kornos, Larnaca at the Archontiko Papadopoulou and is a singular chance to enjoy the Wines of Tsiakkas Winery at the unique enogastronomic events guided by sommelier George Kassianos.
In the presence of Winemaker Costas Tsiakkas, his wines will have been matched with Cypriot dishes prepared by the culinary team at the Archontiko. Τhe awarded restaurant of Archontiko Papadopoulou (FB) has on offer a generous menu at Kornos as part of their ongoing series of Cypriot wine-gastronomy events.
The suggested wine matching menu offered is as follows:
- Τsiakkas Xinisteri 2012 (white) – Smoked duck with spicy chestnuts marmalade
- Tsiakkas Sauvignon Blanc 2012 (white) – Rooster with quince cooked in wine
- Tsiakkas Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 (red) – Beef fillet with wild local mushrooms with “Pourgouri” αnd commandaria sauce
- Tsiakkas Commandaria 2008 (Dessert) – Creamy Anari cheese with light grape juice sauce
It’s without a doubt a great opportunity to access an authentic evening of Cyprus gastronomy but which leaves us asking whether the winemaker himself will surprise the crowd with special edition of Vamvakada (Maratheftiko Red) and or his personal selection of Zivania?
