The rich material culture that has accompanied winemaking and viticulture througout the ages has defined Cypriot history and identity. Exploring its relationship to its inhabitants though the concept of hospitality, Commandaria and Cyprus viniculture in general, the upcoming exhibition in Laneia, Battle of Wine, is meant as a creative voyage across the ages, that interpellates us looking into the future of wine and local identity.
The exhibition La Bataille des Vins / The Battle of the Wines in Laneia frames new questions on history, arts, and contemporary philosophy, as artists re-imagine practices, issues, and spaces through the prism of contemporary art and thought.
