Mystes Maratheftiko
Vine & Harvest: Maratheftiko grapes harvested from a single vineyard in the area of Archimandrita at an altitude of 600m.
Vinification & Maturation: Classical red Vinification with 24 hour cool maceration in whole grape berry. Begin alcoholic fermentation spontaneously and continuously inoculated with selected yeast. Extraction of colour and tannins with short recycling and pigeage. The marc are separated according to the phenolic potential. Both fermentation and malolactic are completed in the tank and the wine is transported in French oak barrels for 8 months.
Tasting Note: Pleasant earthy notes, dried herbs, notable black fruit, cherry and plum on the palate with rustic tannins, nice acidity and long finish.
